Day 1 — M’Hamid → acacia oases: the desert opens up
8:30am, Café La Rose du Sud, M’Hamid El Ghizlane. Lahsan and the team are there. The 4×4 is loaded. The tarmac disappears within minutes — and the Sahara takes over.
The first landscapes are a revelation. Sandy tracks wind between rocky plateaux. Scattered desert trees dot the horizon. And then the acacia oases appear — green, unexpected, quietly magnificent in the ochre immensity. Your guides call these trees talh. They have sheltered caravans for centuries, and today they shelter you.
You walk among them. The desert light filters through the branches. A fragrant tagine lunch is prepared on site — slow-cooked, generous, unforgettable.
Regular stops throughout the day allow you to step out, walk on the sand, feel the desert underfoot. Fresh mineral water and dates are always within reach.

Day 2 — Oum Laalag oasis to Erg Chigaga: the great dunes appear

Day 3 — Erg Zahar → return to M’Hamid: the desert stays with you
Final desert breakfast at sunrise. The light paints the dunes gold and pink — the Sahara’s most beautiful hour. You savour every moment consciously, knowing the moment will not come twice.
The 4×4 heads toward Erg Zahar — one of the most remarkable dune systems in Morocco, and one of the least visited. Step out and climb the ridge on foot. The view from the summit is breathtaking — an ocean of sand in every direction, absolute silence, infinite horizon.
