Why organize a retreat in the Sahara Desert?
To organize a retreat in the Sahara is not to choose a destination.
It is to enter a space that begins to work with you.
In the desert, nothing is forced.
Things simplify on their own.
What remains is presence.
What disappears is noise.
Sunlight slows over the dunes.
The desert turns gold, then deep red.
At night, the sky opens completely — the Milky Way becomes part of the experience.
Nothing is designed to impress.
Everything is designed to let space do the work.

What makes this experience different
This is not a resort-based retreat.
It is a nomadic retreat in Morocco desert environment, shaped around your work and your group.
✅ No fixed infrastructure limiting your program
✅ No external noise or visual overload
✅ No internet connection at the camp (true digital detox)
✅ Mobile setup adapted to your retreat structure
✅ Local desert-born guides who understand timing, silence, and space
✅ Full logistical support on the ground
Everything is built to remove friction — not to add structure.

Who this retreat is for
You are a yoga teacher, meditation guide, somatic therapist, coach, sound healer, movement practitioner, or facilitator working with groups in transformation.
This space has hosted yoga, meditation, silence, women’s circles, creative work, and embodied practices.
If your work brings people back to presence, the Sahara supports it.
Lahsan — the desert as lived knowledge
Born at the foot of the Erg Chegaga dunes, Lahsan grew up in the Sahara.
Today, he works with facilitators and retreat leaders from around the world.
He prepares everything on the ground — camp, meals, logistics, transport — so you can focus fully on your group and your teaching.
He does not lead your practice.
He prepares the space where it can happen.

FAQ — organize a Sahara retreat
Can the camp accommodate a fully silent retreat?
Yes. Silent retreats are fully supported.
Meals are served quietly, and the team adapts communication to your protocol. There is no need to “create” silence — it is already part of the desert environment.
Can the camp move during the retreat?
Yes. The camp can move every one to two nights depending on your program.
Many facilitators choose this option as it adds rhythm and depth to the experience. We can also keep a fixed base camp or combine both formats.
What is the best time of year to organize a Sahara retreat?
The most comfortable period is October to April, with daytime temperatures between 15 and 25°C and clear, cool nights.
June and September can work for specific experiences such as sand immersion. July and August are generally too hot for most outdoor practices.
How far in advance should we book?
Three to six months is ideal for larger groups.
However, feel free to contact us at any time — we will always let you know what is realistically possible.
Is there any Wi-Fi or phone signal at the camp?
No. The camp is fully off-grid.
For many participants, this digital disconnection is one of the most valuable parts of the retreat. A satellite phone can be arranged if needed for emergencies.
What should participants bring?
Comfortable clothing for warm days and cool nights, a torch or headlamp, sunscreen, personal medication, and a yoga mat if desired.
Traditional rugs are provided for practice on the sand.

Are the sand baths safe?
Yes, when guided properly.
Sand immersion is a traditional Berber practice used for relaxation and physical relief (joints, circulation, muscle tension). It is available in June and September.
It is not recommended for people with heart conditions or high blood pressure. We review this carefully when planning your retreat.
